It was on a bright sunny Saturday morning that a convoy of Lamborghini supercars descended upon Prestige Imports Miami with a sole mission in mind. That mission was to rally to the Sebring International Raceway to witness the 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo World Final. The highly anticipated Lamborghini specific event hosted drivers and teams from all over the world competing in Professional, Professional-Amateur and Amateur classes. The third edition of the Super Trofeo final saw an extraordinary weekend of racing with competitors pushing the limits of both the cars and themselves.
Spectators not only got to witness exciting racing action but also had the chance to relax and unwind in the Lamborghini Hospitality Lounge. Amenities such as catered food and bar, an elevated VIP viewing deck and big screen HD televisions provided ample convenience to those in attendance. Lamborghini VIP’s such as mph club Miami were in strong attendance bringing out three of its Italian Bulls including the Aventador Roadster, Huracan and Gallardo Spyder.
By the end of the two-day race weekend there were five different winners and five titles awarded out of the 65 participants. The local team of Brett David and Matthieu Lecuyer from Lamborghini Miami made podium placements in the Gallardo Professional-Amateur class with their Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo LP570-4 race-car. What made this race-car truly even more unique is the acknowledgement of the recent Paris Terrorist attack in which the team commemorated the city with a mural on the car’s hood. Teammate Matthieu Lecuyer, being a French native himself wanted to pay homage to those lost in the attack and also dedicated their race in remembrance of those lost in the incident. In retrospect, both drivers did an exceptional job representing South Florida and Paris with their placements and ended the series strong. Looking forward to the next season one can only imagine that Team Lamborghini Miami will be waving its flag high and possibly introduce a new race-car to the already powerful roster.
