To be perfectly clear, the Bugatti Veyron is not the fastest car in the world. The Veyron Super Sport’s top speed was challenged and its acceleration bested. However the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is officially one of the fastest open-top sports cars available today. With its top speed of 229 mph without its targa top, it is only overshadowed by its successor, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and its unbelievable top speed limited to 233 mph.
In plain english, you can’t go to a dealership and simply buy a roadster faster than the Veyron Grand Sport, nothing else comes anywhere close. The power plant for this two-seater ballistic missile is the standard 8.0 liter, quad-turbocharged W16 engine found in the coupe version, however reinforcements have been made to the chassis to account for loss of rigidity that comes with the targa roof. The interior in the Grand Sport Veyron is business as usual, with hand stitched leather throughout. All in all the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is the perfect car for the elite socialites and the well-off, anti-social who live in or visit Miami. I think it’s easy to agree that nothing says “look at me” like an open top Bugatti Veyron, and at the same time, nothing says “leave me alone” like propelling yourself toward the horizon atop a tsunami of 1,000 brake horsepower.
With its limited production numbers of just 150 units and its exorbitant price of $1.52 million, it is highly unlikely that you will be stuck behind a Grand Sport Bugatti Veyron on your morning commute. It’s even less likely that the average person visiting Miami, or even someone who calls the city home, should stumble upon the opportunity to drive one. Unless, however that person was to rent through mph club. mph club is in a unique position to offer the experience of a lifetime to our clients. With daily and weekly rentals available to mph club customers, it would be unwise to seek a similar opportunity elsewhere.
